Big Ben by Caravita transforms any outdoor space into a stylish and atmospheric retreat. With more than 140 fabric designs and over 200 frame colours, various shapes and sizes, it can be optimally adapted to the ambience and becomes the unobtrusive focal point of the terrace and garden. A contribution to sustainability is made possible by the acrylic ProNature umbrella cover, which frees the air from pollutants. As the Big Ben Freestyle model variant, the umbrella can also be individually tailored to any structural challenge, even as a rhombus or star. In urban environments, the shape can be adapted to wall projections. Large open spaces, on the other hand, are covered by the umbrella with a span of up to seven metres.

Robust and wind-stable
Caravita grants a warranty of five years for its products over and above the statutory requirements. Thanks to its robust frame made of high-quality aluminium, it is also very wind-stable. An optional wind roof with its own frame not only scores points with its interesting design, but also makes the umbrella even more resistant to gusts of wind. The integrated telescopic mechanism allows crockery and table decorations to simply remain standing when closing, as the umbrella grows in height in the process and thus closes above the patio furniture. The set-up aid is also particularly practical, as it makes it much easier to set up the large umbrella. To do this, simply screw the set screw into the ground sleeve, bring the umbrella into position, put on the set-up aid and push the umbrella up. Now just screw it on and the umbrella stands securely and firmly.
Many features possible
But Big Ben’s many qualities go far beyond its ability as an imposing shade-giver. In hot weather, an optional misting system ensures pleasant temperatures under the sunshade. The water pipes are inconspicuously integrated into the mast and frame. With the optional Elegance lighting system installed in the struts, it brings a gentle glow to the terrace. The LEDs can be dimmed by remote control. Removable infrared radiant heaters provide cosy warmth within a short time, even late in the year.
Motorised or stand-alone operation
There are two options for particularly convenient opening and closing of the umbrella. With the optional WMS radio motor, operation is convenient via hand-held transmitter. This means that several umbrellas can be opened and closed at the same time at the touch of a button. Alternatively, Big Ben can also be equipped with a solar panel on the top of the umbrella. After just three hours of sunshine, the lithium battery is fully charged, thus ensuring independence from the mains via remote control.
Variety of seating
An original idea for creating additional outdoor seating are the Multicube Gabions, which double as mobile umbrella stands and seating to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The robust steel baskets with freely selectable filling – for example stones, wood or empty bottles – and comfortable wooden support are the perfect advertising medium.
